Exam for studying abroad: The Education Testing Services (ETS) has announced a new test for assessing English-language proficiency.
TOEFL Essentials, a new test for assessing English-language proficiency, has been announced. According to an official statement, the exam is intended for university admissions and other “high stakes decisions.”
“While the TOEFL iBT test has established itself as the gold standard in international admissions, we are expanding shaping human portfolio with the innovative and versatile TOEFL Essentials test.”
About TOEFL Essentials
The exam will assess students’ abilities in four areas: listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
According to the ETS, the test will provide the “ideal combination” of convenience, affordable access, and the trust of quality institutions.
The test will contain 50% academic English and 50% general English content.
TOEFL Essentials will serve as a home base.
The fee of the exam will be USD 100 or approximately Rs 7,300.-/-
Registrations will open on June 17 and the exam will begin on August 21
