IELTS LISTENING

All students take the same test both academic & general

There are 40 questions

There are 4 sections

40 mins in total ( 30 mins to listen to the audio and 10mins to transfer the answers )

Answer sheet will be given

Section 1 – 

the audio will be between two speakers this is mostly a telephone conversation with two people

Eg : it can be about organising a event , or booking a restaurant or charges of a rented flat

There has to be accurate listening skill  information such as names , dates, time , places or numbers

SECTION – 2

•One speaker conversation

•This is often a conversation from a guide

•There will be information about a building , resort , company or event

SECTION – 3

Three or four speakers will be present this is  this is an academic discussion

•It will be between two students speaking to their professor or college presenting their resource to their colleagues

SECTION – 4

One speaker conversation  this will be about a academic lecture

The section will be given in the order of difficult progresses ( which in sense the section 1 will be easy and section 4 will be difficult

•There is a vast spread of accents in the test but probably it depends on British as well has Australian •IELTS accepts British and American English spellings

HIGHLIGHT NOTES

•The recording will be played only once

•You must have complete practice with all four sections ,

•Practice to transfer your answers during practice sections
