The PTE Academic assesses test takers in listening, reading, speaking, and writing using a computer. The total test duration lasts for approximately 2 hours. To take the PTE Academic test, the candidates must attend an exam at a secure Pearson test centre.
The PTE test consists of three main parts: speaking and writing (combined), listening, and reading. There are various question formats, ranging from multiple-choice questions to essay writing and interpreting information. The format is straightforward, and candidates can score well with enough practice.
The PTE Academic Test evaluates candidates in real-life situations and academic content. Therefore, candidates will listen to excerpts from lectures and view graphs and charts. There are number of questions range from 28-36 in speaking and writing, 13-18 questions in Reading, and 12-20 in Listening will be attended by the candidates on the test day.
